Charlotte JWU Predominantly Black Institutions (PBI) Grant (Department of Education)
In October 2021, Johnson & Wales University Charlotte received a 5-year, $1.25 million grant from the United States Department of Education. With funding from this awarded Title III PBI (Predominantly Black Institutions) project, JWU Charlotte has identified two goals with eight measurable objectives that will strengthen the University and increase student success. The goals and objectives were designed to directly address weaknesses to enhance JWU Charlotte’s capacity to serve more low- and middle-income students, including Black American/African American students; to expand higher education opportunities for eligible students by encouraging college preparation and student persistence in postsecondary education, and to strengthen the financial ability of the institution to serve the academic needs of these students.JWU iGrad Financial Advising Tool
