Senior Night Takes Home a Dub

As the JWU Volleyball team reaches the mid-way point of the 2023 season there is a lot to be said about the defending GNAC champions. As they took on Colby Sawyer Oct. 7, the Wildcats were able to pull out 3 wins and 1 loss overall.

In support of Family Weekend the Wildcats were celebrating Senior Night. Honoring seniors Peyton Oliver and Sarah Miller, along with graduate student Jordan Sterenburg. Peyton Oliver was able to bring in 19 kills and 5 aces throughout the honorary night and Sarah Miller brought in 11 kills and 3 aces herself.

At the end of the first game, at 25-18, Oliver landed the game winning hit against Colby Sawyer College to set off with a bang. Leading into the second game, Colby Sawyer came back with revenge as they started the game with a 5 point lead over the Wildcats. The Wildcats were not able to get over that five point lead and ended up losing the second game, 12-25. After 2 more intense games, JWU was able to pull out their 7th win of the season.
