About John

John F. Eriksen has more than 15 years of experience in the international admission arena. He began his international admission career in Philadelphia, PA. He travels over 8 weeks a year outside of the United States and leads recruitment, admission and enrollment of international students at Johnson and Wales University. He serves on the advisory board of Linden Educational Tours and he is a member of the College Board, the Council of International Schools (CIS) and National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) with affiliation to International ACAC.

He has presented at the CIS Forum in Europe, NAFSA and International ACAC and he co-developed the Study Rhode Island Consortium, which meets regularly in promotion of Rhode Island as a destination for international students. His passions are working with international students and families, skiing and ice hockey.

About William

An alumnus of JWU, classes of 1988 and 1990, William Priante has served in a number of positions at Johnson & Wales University since first joining the Providence Campus team in 1988 as a culinary teaching assistant.

He moved on to the Career Development Office as director of food service and hospitality placement and then to Admissions as director of culinary admissions. In 1999 he became the director of operations on the opening team for the Denver, Colorado Campus until 2003 when he became the director of international relations, at the Providence Campus. In 2005 Priante became director of domestic recruitment and training until 2009.

From 2009 to 2016, he was director of admissions for JWU Providence and since January 2017, has taken on the role of director of international recruitment. His best memories of JWU are the many times when students, faculty, and staff join together for campus-wide events.
