From Application to Graduation: JWU Global Reimagines the International Student Journey

JWU Global, a unified hub dedicated to supporting international students throughout their entire JWU journey: from first inquiry to graduation and beyond.

This initiative brings two essential functions - International Admissions and International Student Services - into a single, cohesive unit. A more seamless, student-centered experience designed to meet the unique needs of JWU’s global community.

At the heart of JWU Global is a dedicated and collaborative team of professionals who work across departments and campuses. This global “village”, as the team often says, plays a vital role in welcoming, guiding and supporting international students every step of the way. From recruitment and immigration advising to cultural adjustment and academic success, each team member contributes to creating a truly inclusive and supportive environment.

“It’s the collective work of the entire JWU community that makes this initiative to support JWU’s international students possible,” said Wesley Roy, JWU’s director of international admissions and student services. “With JWU Global, we’re not just streamlining services; we’re deepening our commitment to international education and to the students who enrich our university with their diverse perspectives, talents and experiences.”

The newly relaunched Global Citizen Program will play a central role in fostering global connections and cultural exchange. Current students in the program work alongside international students to create a supportive and inclusive community where students can learn from one another, celebrate diversity and build lasting global friendships.

The village, however, extends far beyond the classroom and administrative offices here on campus. JWU’s reach is global and includes our international alumni, parents, college counselors, governments and recruitment partners. Our collaborative effort will ensure that international students are not only prepared for success in the classroom but also equipped with the skills, connections and confidence to thrive in a globally connected world.

“At JWU, we understand that fostering global connections is key to our collective success,” Roy said. "It takes a village, and as part of our network, we work together to ensure that every student has the tools, guidance and support they need to succeed - not only during their time at JWU but also as they build a global network that will benefit them for years to come.”

JWU has launched new merit-based scholarships and enhanced financial support to make JWU more accessible to high-achieving international students as part of the university's commitment to expanding opportunity for students from all backgrounds.
