INTERNATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE
International health insurance provides medical coverage for the duration of travel, medical evacuation, repatriation of remains, and travel assistance.
CHOOSE YOUR OPTION
JWU uses two different international health insurance carriers, GeoBlue and AIG/Chartis.
Travelers choose the type of insurance based on their status and purpose:

1. Students & Faculty/Staff LeadersFor students on JWU-sponsored programs (including internships) and JWU faculty/staff members leading or accompanying students. Fee: There is a fee attached to GeoBlue. Budget: In most cases, the JWU-sponsoring program will be expected to cover these expenses, and travel budgets should be built accordingly. |
2. Other JWU Business
For faculty and staff traveling on other university business, who are not accompanying students.
Fee: There is no fee associated with AIG/Chartis.
Coverage: Travelers are automatically covered.
Register in Advance: Obtain your Travel Guard card and gain access to detailed travel, medical, and security information.
To Create an Account
Follow these steps to create your Travel Guard-Chartis account to get access to detailed travel, medical and security information and print Travel Guard card:
- Go to: AIG Travel Assist
- Click on “Register Here”
- Enter JWU policy number WR10005619
- Complete required fields.
- Click "Submit."
- You will receive an email with a temporary password. Click on the URL within the email and sign-in with your email address and temporary password. You will prompted to change your password.
- Once you have created your account, you will be able to access AIG Travel Assist at any time.
