*TOEFL Exam:

Students who attain a qualifying ESL Placement Test score will have
the opportunity to take the Institutional TOEFL Exam.
$25 fee; photo ID required.
 

TRANSPORTATION

TF Green International Airport

From TF Green, please go directly to your Residence Hall on campus by taxi.

 

Peter Pan Bus

This runs from Boston’s Logan Airport to Providence. From the station, take a taxi to our campus.

 

AMTRAK Train

Take a taxi from the station to our campus. Go outside the bus/train station.
Take a taxi (US $30) to our campus, at your own cost.

ACCOMMODATION

On-Campus

Students who have secured on-campus housing will be able to move in directly to their assigned residence hall.
 

Off- Campus

Students who are not living on-campus are recommended to secure your own housing prior to arrival.
On jwuLink, visit Providence Services and find out about Off Campus Stduent Services located at
the Den with additional off-campus housing resources.
 

 

Utilities

Once you have secure housing, Off Campus Student Services will help you set up your electricity, water and gas.
 

 

SHOPPING TRIP

Target or WalMart

JWU provides shopping trips to and from Target or Walmart so students can buy things such as:

Food supplies
Cell phones
Toiletries
Bedding
Warm clothes

Providence Place Mall

Student can also walk to the Providence Place Mall for:

Cell phones
Toiletries
Bedding
Warm clothes

 


 

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PLACEMENT TEST

This test determines which level of English as a Second Language (ESL) classes you will be placed in.
