The following resources and links are geared towards new faculty teaching on-ground in Providence and Charlotte. New online faculty, please visit the Teaching Online page for additional recources.

Post a syllabus in the Syllabus & Course Info area that includes a course schedule.

Make your course available to students by the first day of the semester.

Post a welcome announcement to students. Use the Announcement tool on a regular basis, such as weekly, to help students view ulearn as the central location for course information.

The Grade Center should include a column for each graded activity in the course and two calculated columns that show the % Grade to Date and the Letter Grade to Date (set as external grade with green check). Set due dates in ulearn for each graded item to clearly communicate deadlines.

Steps to record attendance through uSucceed.

Entering late or incorrect grades poses serious risks to students by negatively impacting their academic standing, graduation, scholarships, financial aid, tuition reimbursement, honors status, athletic eligibility, good-student insurance discounts, veterans benefits, admission to a graduate program, and so on.
