Associate Commissioner/Senior Minority Administrator, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference


Hamilton Cook serves as Associate Commissioner, External Affairs/Senior Minority Administrator at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

Cook oversees the conference’s media relations efforts and development of the MAAC brand through the league’s broadcasting platforms and the various forms of social media. He serves as the primary media contact for men’s basketball and other selected MAAC sports and develops innovative and engaging content for presenting new media information on social media platforms. Cook also has oversight of internal and external initiatives throughout the conference to promote the MAAC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies and goals.

Prior to the MAAC, Cook worked at Saint Peter’s University, as Associate Director of Athletics for Communications from 2016-2021, serving as the athletic department’s primary contact for all media relations. Cook’s responsibilities consisted of developing strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets, maintaining the athletics website, writing and editing news releases and newsletters, and fund-raising correspondence.

Cook’s career began at the MAAC, holding several posts from 2010 until his departure in 2016.

Cook earned his bachelor’s degree in sports/entertainment/event management with a concentration in sports management from Johnson & Wales University in 2010. In May of 2020, Cook earned a Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed): school counseling from Saint Peter's and he worked as an Adjunct Professor in Sports Management at the university during his tenure in the athletic department.

Cook and his wife Asia reside in Westampton, NJ with their two sons.
