Kristina Ignatjeva has always had a passion for events and wanted to create memories through this industry. Coming to Johnson & Wales from her home country of Latvia, she majored in Sports, Events & Entertainment Management, graduating in 2018 after only three years.
While at JWU, Kristina was the Daytime Programs Coordinator for University Involvement Board, Production Assistant at Student Involvement & Leadership, Community Service Coordinator for JWU Players, President & Music Director for JWU Vocal Ensemble, as well as committee member for the 4th SEEM Leadership Conference. During her spare time from studies and activities, Kristina assisted Rick Simone, Events Professional from EGN, consulting with various events and projects around Rhode Island. Some of these included Federal Hill Stroll, Gloria Gemma Flames of Hope, Newport Wine Festival, and ILEA RI.
Kristina’s love and enthusiasm for the events industry then brought her to New York City to intern for Legends at One World Observatory. There, she was able to showcase her attention to detail, assertiveness, and creativity, resulting in a creation of a position for her within the company as the Special Events & Catering Coordinator post-graduation. Over the past three years with Legends, Kristina has executed over 150 events, ranging from corporate to social and working with clients such as Conde Nast, HBO, Bank Of America, Goldman Sachs, WWE, Virgin Airlines, Berta, MTV, Montblanc and more. Now, Kristina holds the position of Special Events & Catering Manager, with the added responsibility of social media marketing for multiple departments within Legends. She is excited about the future of events and is consistently looking for new ways for adapt and grow within the industry!
