Megan Janis has lived the life of a rockstar, without ever having to step on stage. Upon graduating from Johnson & Wales University in the fall of 2017, Megan moved back to New York to seek out a career in the entertainment industry. She worked for several event planning companies, as well as Live Nation, the concert promotion company where she completed her internship in college. Although Megan is still a Runner at Live Nation, the typical, “9 to 5,” never appealed to her. So, she took a chance and became a freelance Production Assistant.
At just twenty-three years old, she has taken part in hundreds of productions including the MTV’s Video Music Awards, the Time 100 Gala, Rihanna’s Diamond Ball, and the AMC Network Upfronts. Megan’s diligence and positive attitude have simultaneously taken her up the ranks at Live Nation. From Billy Joel to Brittney Spears, Jimmy Buffet to John Mayer, she has played a role in some of the largest concert productions in the tri-state area. Megan has been fortunate to work in the glamour and grunge of our industry. She continues to take every opportunity that comes her way and encourages students to pursue their passions.
