The Multimedia Production Team plays a vital role in supporting faculty members and our institution through the creation of customized JWU-branded multimedia.
Our scope of work includes but is not limited to the development of engaging video content, dynamic and informative presentations, interactive media, institutional and course-specific literature, infographics, and 3D animations. Custom media enhances the student experience, makes complex concepts more accessible, and allows instructors to communicate their ideas effectively, leading to a more interactive and immersive learning experience.

Creative Conceptualization
If there's a story, idea, or concept in your course that you tell students about in order to reach and educate them on a particular subject, we can work with you to enhance the delivery of your subject matter through the development and deployment of high-quality custom media. We can help you concept and develop new materials from scratch that can reach your students in a way that other deliverables can't. Come to us with your ideas, and let our team handle the rest!
Experiential Education
Sometimes, there may be a location important to the subject matter of your course that students may not be able to visit in person. When it's impractical to take a field trip, our media team can bring the experience to them in the form of multimedia on their computer or mobile device. Whether it's destination marketing, a factory tour, visiting a historically relevant site, or following a host along on an on-site educational journey, our media team has capabilities, journalism experience, and state-of-the-art equipment to bring the eyes and ears of the College of Professional Studies straight from the source to our students.
Interactive Content
Interactive content enriches the student multimedia experience by providing a tactile element to an assignment and helps differentiate a JWU educational experience from the rest. Help motivate your students to absorb information or take notes by working with our team to build a quiz or check-for-understanding into the multimedia. Gamification and scenario-based interactive materials provide a richer context for technical material and can break down complex real-world concepts into a format that makes it easier for students to retain subject matter.
Virtual Lectures
Sometimes, there may be concepts that students are having trouble wrapping their heads around. We can work with you to craft a script based on your subject matter expertise and help you develop media that illustrate your subject matter in a compelling and engaging format. For folks who like to take a more "scripted" approach to delivery on camera, our team offers broadcast-quality teleprompter equipment to help you project your classroom delivery to an online audience and do your best work.
Digital Storytelling
In lieu of having your students sift through paragraphs and pages of text, we can take complex subject matter and convert it into a video or video series designed for the digital age. With more than 500 million hours of video watched each day on YouTube alone, video has rapidly become a predominant form of communication. Collaborate with our Multimedia Production Team and deliver a robust mix of multimedia offerings to students of all different learning styles.
Animating Key Concepts
Animation is a great way to augment or add to a virtual lecture or presentation or illustrate a difficult-to-explain concept in a way that your students will enjoy and remember. Our media team offers robust 2D composite animation and full 3D animation capabilities, ready to help you take your student-facing content to the next level.
Updating Existing Materials
Many of our courses already have presentations or content created in the past that may be outdated or non-conforming to current University standards. Perhaps you may need to update a presentation with new material or remove dated references. We work with faculty to ensure that course materials stay up-to-date and remain relevant, semester after semester.
Lecture Copy to Video Content
If you've already worked on a script or have your lecture content written down in a text format, we can use your source material as a basis to create video content, complete with music, graphics, and stock footage. We can also help you refine a script or subject matter with our skilled copywriting capabilities, and craft it into compelling multimedia that utilizes the latest multimedia best practices.
Enhancing Faculty-Created Video
Faculty-created video has increasingly become an important medium for communication in our courses. Many faculty members record their own video announcements, updates, or introductions. Our experienced multimedia team offers guidance on best practices for this, as well as post-production services to ensure that faculty-developed content meets JWU branding guidelines and standards.
Custom Guest Introductions
There may be times in your course when you want to utilize special subject matter given by a certain presenter or subject matter expert. In these cases, our team can help highlight a guest lecturer with a post-produced introduction so that students can become familiar with them and better understand their background and expertise.
Web Resource Tutorials
Oftentimes, students may end up needing to utilize complex outside resources developed by third parties as part of our courses. We can help save you time and communicate important information to students with step-by-step tutorials that explain how to use a database, navigate a website or duplicate a process. The tutorial multimedia format can elevate the online classroom discussion by answering frequently asked questions that students may repeatedly ask.
On-Ground Lecture Recording
Do you teach online and on-ground? If there's a presentation that you're fond of giving in the classroom or you're hosting a guest lecturer who has a limited time on campus, we can record the presentation in your classroom and make it available for your online students to view. If you have a PowerPoint presentation or accompanying slide deck, we can convert this over to a digital format and time your slides to correspond with the on-ground presentation.
On-Ground Activity Videos
Whether it's a wine-tasting, culinary lab, or campus event relevant to your online course, we can be there to capture it and post-produce it into a video that your students can continually benefit from.
